”Ahh” I was being chased! I ran as fast as I could, until I fell. A shadow fell over me. I pulled my flower crown over my face with my shaking paws. “ This is the end!” I though to myself. I shivered.
Chapter 1
Hello!
Hi! I’m Smudge! I’m a girl and a wolf btw. I’m the daughter of the most evilest wolf ever! Ok maybe not a evil wolf but a guy who deserved better. Anyway, I’m going to tell you a story. It’s about when me and my friends did something. It almost created the apocalypse! I wish my uncle died tho. He was the one who made my life the worst! Now we have to live with the phantoms! Almost everyone hates us. Anyway let me tell you the story now.
Chapter 2
Just Playing Around
”ha!” Me and my friends were running around the township playing tag. I only have a few friends, like only 5, but at least their good friends. “Woah!” My friend Milly said. We all looked at her then at what she was looking at. A new cafe! We loved cafes. There the best! We all scrambled in taking out money from our pockets. But I took mine out of my backpack. We all ordered pancakes and hot chocolate. We waited at our table. My friend Jack whispered “ hey I sneaked in a lab yesterday!” he told us. I was amazed! I loved Jack! He was so smart, good looking, and sneaky, like me! He took out something that looked brown and bubbling. “It looks like Coke!” said my friend Sunny. “It really does” I agreed to her while they just came and gave us our food. When we finished our food, we paid and rushed to my friend, Melody and Sam’s house. Their twins. They loved to do science and they experimented with soda and tiny bugs. It was perfect. We put in one of their experiment ants, and put it in Mountain Dew. We put on gloves and safety goggles and poured in a tiny bit of the brown bubbling liquid. BOOM!!!! It was complete.
Chapter 3
Its alive!
“blarg” was all the ant could say. We looked at it. “ what the heck?” Sam said. I looked confused. They always did experments and surly something like this has happened before. Right? ” this never happened before” melody said to me. I guess she saw I was confused. “ they usually die by drowning in the soda” she added. We all looked at the ant. It was green and slimy. It had red eyes that glowed! ”wow!” Sunny said. Suddenly the ant went ”beep!” It started to grow! We all backed away. It was as big at Melody’s doll house in a few seconds. We all pushed the ant to the living room and out the door. By the time we did, it was as big as the tree! “Um, something’s happening.” I told them. They all looked at the ant. It split into 2! We all started panicking! “Help!” Screamed Jack. I covered his mouth with my paw. “Shush” I told him. The ant split into 3 now. We all looked at the five slimy ants. It came up to us. It raised its head and looked at the tree. I looked too. “Yumm” the ant said. “Huh?” Sam said. The ant found a squirrel and gobbled it up. “Ahhhh!” We all screamed as the five ants said “animals yum!” We all ran into the house panting.
Chapter 4
The ant-alypse
Sams and Melody’s parents were at work so we were all alone. We looked out the window. There were thousands of ants now! We stayed in the house for a few days. “Our parents are probably worried now!” Jack told us. “ ya and Melody and Sam”s parents never came back” sunny said. sam told us “we need to go out for food” “but the Ants!” Jack said. “Forget them”I said. “Starve, or live?” I added. “LIVE!” All of them said. So we all went out. The sky was dark. We ran to a supermarket. There were zombies! “Oh great. First mutant ants! And now zombies!” Melody screamed. “OMG!” Sunny said. “Oh no wat is it?” I said worried. “Squishes!” She screamed is a high voice. “ we never got toys for a while. Only sams and Melody’s old toys. We all rushed to them. “put them in my backpack.” I said as they stuffed the squishes in. “Done!” Sam said. We went to the food isle next. We got ice cream, juice, cookies, chicken, apples, and microwave pizza. We all rushed home only to find out that the home was destroyed!
Chapter 5
Into the bunker
we all went to the park and hid under a bench. We soon fell asleep. “Wake up Smudge” someone said in a sweet voice. I woke up. I was in a brown room. I felt the ground. It was dirt! The air was ice cold. I found that Jack was waking me up. I smiled at him. “Are you ok?” I snapped out of my trance. “Uh ya just cool that we’re in um a dirt room.” I told him.“Oh um ok?” said Jack. ”I woke up and dug a little room for us to hide in because the ants were close.” He added. “Good. And the food?” I told him. “Over there in that pile” he said as he pointed to pile of food. “The others?“ I asked. He pointed to them sleeping next to the pile of food. I ran over to them and shook them awake. Milly woke up first. “Uh, sorry I had to wake you but look. We have to change this into a bunker.” I told her. “It’s fine.” She answered. I woke the others and we all started digging. We dug and dug and dug until we ran into an underground metal room. “Huh?” Jack said. We soon realized that the metal wall was really a door. We shivered but still opened it. The wolf’s we found in the room was a surprise to all of us but mostly me. I ran inside to hug my mom and dad.
Chapter 6
Welcome Back!
I was hugging my dad when suddenly he started to growl. “Um dad..?” I asked shaking. “Why are you hanging out with her!” he yelled at me. I was very confused. Who? He was pointing at one of my friends. I looked at who he was pointing at. It was Milly! Suddenly my dad pounced on top of Milly. I screamed. “Her mother tried to kill us when you were just only one.” Someone whispered in my ear. I looked around to try to see who it was. When I looked back to my dad, Milly was lying on the floor whimpering! “WHAT DID YOU DO!” I screamed to my dad, tears forming in my eyes. “What I had too.” He said, licking the blood off of his paw. I pushed him out of the way to try to get to Milly, but suddenly the lights went off. When it came back on, two of us where on the floor, one of them hurt so badly they might die. It was Sam and my mom! Then everything went black. The last thing I saw was a grey and white wolf’s tail.
Chapter 7
Fast
It turned out everyone was knocked out. I woke up to see the grey and white wolf pulling my mom across the room. “Mom!” I yelled to try to wake her up but it was no use. But the other wolf noticed my scream. “Hello smudge! Don’t worry i won’t hurt you or your friends. Just your mother and father!“ he said happily. “Ho...how do you know my name...?” I asked. I froze. Th..that wolf was my uncle! “I thought you knew all your family members!” He said to me. I was weak but I managed to get up and claw him. “Oh maybe the whole family can die!” he yelled. He dropped my mom, who woke up from the fall. He chased me outside. I stoped a second to see where we were. A barn! Really! How dirty! I started to run again. I ran and ran and ran. I stoped when I was looking for a place to hide. An ally! Perfect. I slipped into the ally and crept behind a dumpster. I looked around panting when I saw one of those green ants at my feet. It was so tiny! But it started to grow bigger and bigger! It roared and the only thing I thought of was to run. Just run. “Ahh” I was being chased! I ran as fast as I could, until I fell. I looked up and saw it was my uncle. He had bitten the ants leg. The ant scurried away. He turned to me and said “ hi smudge” “Hi uncle Dash” I said.
Chapter 8
Dead
I looked at my uncle. Then at the ant, who was running away. “ Why did you save me?” I asked. “Well, your dad would kill me if i killed you so before i should kill you, i should kill your father and mother!” He said with a smile.
”uh no.” I said but he was gone.
I wanted to call out to my parents but for some reason I couldnt talk. I was so scared I couldnt speak! Suddenly I was surrounded by the ants. My uncle was back. He was so quick to get all those ants together. Maybe thats why his name is Dash. He pulled the ant's anteana and its leg went up. " eh I changed my mind aboutkilling ya first." he said. This time I couldnt be saved. No one was near me. This was really the end. "SMUDGE!" I looked at my dad running to me. He bumped me out of the way. He braced himself to be the one squished. "OOH! EVEN BETTER!" my uncle said darkley. BAM! Thump!. My dad was suddenly out of the way. I didnt know who saved him but they are my hero. I went to go say thank you. Till I saw that it was my mom.
Chapter 9
Mom
"MOM" tears filled my eyes. Before her last breaths she smiled at me. " I Love You..." She said. I tried to tell her i do too but she wasnt looking at me. that meant she was dead. I cried and cried. My dad looked at me. " we have to go." he said picking up my mom. We carried her to the bunker. We digged in the ground and put her in. "We miss you" we all said.
Chapter 10
SQUISH ATTACK!!!!
It was 5 days later after my mom died. Melody and Sam spent every day and night working to see if they can find an antidote. 7 days. 10 days. Soon we ran out of food. "Mr Jr?" melody told my dad. "Ye" "we need one more thing. We need an onion. We think that plus the soda and the potion will fix the ants. "smudge jack and melody. go get food and an onion. Now!" my dad was mad about my mom's death. "ok' i said and left with the others. We ran out of the bunker. We spent at least an hour looking for the onion. It was so hard to find one since it was so dark. "hey I think I found the light switch!" Jack yelled at the light flickerd on then off. I felt something on my leg. But I didn't look. The light flickered on again. My eyes widened. We were standing on the ant! They again grew big and grabbed Melody by her tail. "HELP!" she screamed. We stood there with fear. "Oh forget it about you helping." She said. The next time the ant swung her by me, she grabbed my backpack right off of me. I shook my head. "Hey... Oh my gosh Jack! We got to help her!" I yelled. "Huh? oh right! but ho...."He got interrupted. "YAAAAA!" Melody was throwing the squishes in my backpack right into the ant's eyes. The other three roared loudly at her but she was throwing them everywhere and one went right into the ant's throat. He coughed it out and ran away. The other ant let her go and ran to join his friend. The other two ants shrank with fear and crawled on something. The onion! We picked it up and shook the ants off. They squealed and ran off. "Just what we need!" Jack said happily. We ran back to the bunker and showed it to everyone.
Chapter 11
The Antidote
It was a week after the attack at the supermarket. The next day we went to get food. Now Sam and Melody had finished. I was outside picking an ant. "hmmmm. You!" I giggled. I ran inside. My eyes started to water. "The onion! Did you just cut it" I said to Sam. "Yes. Sorry. Now that we chopped it and put it in withe the potion and soda. Lets put the ant in." He grabbed the bag with the ant inside from me. And put it in a tiny jar. The ant started to grow but Melody quickly put a drop of the antidote in. The ant shrunk to a tiny little creature then slowly turned brown again. We all cheered! "Now how do we get the antidote to every ant?" Milly said. We all looked at her. She hasn't talked for weeks! "Milly! Are you ok?" Sunny ran to her. "Yes" Milly said. She got up on all four paws. "Why not use the phantom canon?" My dad said. "Yes. Wait, you have a phantom canon?" Sam asked. Me and my dad nodded. "Well that's great! Where is it?" Melody asked. Jack asked the same question. "It's at the phantom fortress." I told them.
Chapter 12
The Canon
We had to walk from Jamaa to the Phantom fortress. It was a long walk and my legs hurt but we made it. Me and my dad went to go get the phantom conon and pushed it back outside where everyone was waiting. As sam poured the antidote in, Melody lit the canon. We all rushed to behind a wall. BOOM! I was amazed by the sound and strength of the canon. I didn't expect it to be so strong. We looked around and saw 5 ants shrink. Then 6. Then 17 shrank then all of them! We all cheered as animals came out from hiding. We had fixed everything!
Chapter 13
The End
We all cheered because we had just saved Jamaa. Then I remembered my mom. I started to cry a little bit. My dad came up to me "Don't be sad kiddo! She wouldn't want you to be sad would she?" I wipped away my tears and smiled "Youre right!" I hugged my dad. I couldn't wait until our next adventure!
